About ADDCI
A Tunisian association founded in 2002 and based in Zarzis, serving the territories and communities of the South.
Who we are
The Association for Sustainable Development and International Cooperation (ADDCI) is a Tunisian organisation founded in 2002 and based in Zarzis. For more than two decades it has served territories and communities to promote sustainable, inclusive and fair development, rooted in local realities and open to the Mediterranean.
Originally created to promote the region’s cultural, architectural and environmental heritage, the association has gradually broadened its scope to address today’s social, economic and environmental challenges.

A sustainable future, for everyone.
We imagine territories where everyone can live with dignity, access essential resources and build their life plans in harmony with nature. Rooted in Zarzis and open to the Mediterranean, we promote a vision of sustainable and fair development based on inclusion, social innovation and cooperation. Our ambition: strengthen community resilience and turn social, environmental and migration challenges into concrete opportunities.
Act, support, transform.
To foster sustainable development by strengthening the socio-economic integration of communities, with priority given to vulnerable groups: women in precarious situations, young people and job seekers, migrants (including returning Tunisians), children and people with disabilities. We work through concrete, participatory and measurable projects — environment, entrepreneurship and social innovation, women’s empowerment, migration and economic inclusion (including microcredit) — mobilising local, national and international partnerships.

- Listen
- Co-design
- Test
- Improve

Since 2002, ADDCI has relied on a multidisciplinary team and a network of volunteers to design and deliver useful actions in Zarzis and the South.
We work close to communities, with a simple method: listen, co-design, test, improve. Every project is designed to be realistic, suited to its context and lasting.
Our strength is collaboration: institutions, associations, technical partners, local actors and citizens. We favour clear governance, rigorous coordination and transparent communication.
The result: initiatives that move forward, skills that grow and solutions that remain after activities end.
Rooted locally, open to the world
Born in Zarzis, ADDCI acts first where it knows the ground, the people and the realities. From these local roots grow lasting projects, designed to be shared, adapted and scaled up elsewhere, as partnerships and needs evolve.
